Fiscal Year 2026: Your Support for Dallas Animal Services

We're excited to share how YOU made a difference in the lives of the 27,618 shelter animals cared for by Dallas Animal Services (DAS) in Fiscal Year 2026 (October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2025).

Donors provided over $672,000 in financial support to DAS, in the following areas.

ENRICHMENT

Our community funded new Kuranda beds, toys & treats for shelter pets, Doggie Daycation supplies and staff, D90 Runner supplies, and equipment for dog playgroups.

FOSTER

You provided robust kitten foster kits, dog foster kits, crates, and external veterinary care to the amazing foster families caring for DAS pets.

MEDICAL

Donors provided supplemental funding for a plethora of programs in the medical department, including care and supplies for suspected animal cruelty cases, testing, veterinary support staff, and community cat TNR surgeries.

GENERAL SHELTER SUPPORT

Among other things, you helped set adopters up for success by supplying collars and sturdy leashes for all adopted dogs, provided equipment and supplies for DAS field officers, purchased two new dryers for the shelter laundry room, and supported the volunteer program by funding background checks, volunteer t-shirts, and volunteer appreciation events.
